Polarity Series This series of work is the first of many that links directly to my interest in antipodes - opposite sides of the world, as if you drove a knitting needle through the centre of the earth. In 2005, I took images of seascapes in South Island, New Zealand, (New Zealand is the nearest landbased antipode to the UK). I printed the images on to acetate and took them into the landscape near my home in Buckinghamshire. I then re-photographed them so the English landscape linked to New Zealand in the new images. The images are opposite in both location and weather, summer in New Zealand and winter in England.
