My art is an attempt to encourage an audience to think about what else is happening around the world, as they stand in front of my work.

I frequently measure my location precisley when working, using gps technology; these measurements are often part of the titles of the work, without reference to the place by name. I am asking my audience to think about the world – where might this location be? I also have a fascination with showing the passage of time and wanting to know what else is going on at precisley the same time, but elsewhere.

An overiding obsession is antipodes - locations precisely opposite each other, as if you stuck a knitting needle through the middle of the earth.

I use a variety of mediums, none of which is used preferentially over another. My concept comes first, the medium is chosen to suit the piece - photography, video, audio, text, installation, painting, drawing, 3D, printmaking...
